Almost 10 weeks the accident !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I finally have my car back :D
very happy boy
They’ve done an immaculate job. The paint, gaps, everything is spot on. You can’t tell it’s ever been hit.
flecccc
Both rear quarters were painted, and brand new rear bumper and lid.
I also decided to have the front bumper totally refinished, and the old plate holes filled. The rubber trim pieces under the rear windows was badly cracked and I had both of those replaced as well. That was out of my own pocket, insurance covered everything else.
Finally, a new set of side markers (shipped from Lithuania! ) and after a good wax it’s pretty much as perfect externally as I can get it.

One of us. One of us. I thought you had a ZHP until I saw that you’re in Euroland. But it looks identical to a ZHP. They really did a nice job on the repair.

I’m in Australialand but yeah the ZHP wasn’t sold here either. A lthough Australian market 330Cis had 5 more hp than the standard US cars anyway, a nd “Sport” models like mine came with the same body kit and wheels, and lower ‘sport suspension’ from factory so it’s essentially equivalent.

Oh I’m sorry, my mistake. Your photos look more tropical than anywhere in Europe. AND my brother just got back from a 6 month stay in Melbourne, so I should’ve known better from all the car pics he sent. Anyways. cracking good car. Didn’t know you got a power bump over stock, that’s cool. Your car is basically a ZHP without the ZHP tax.

Thats awesome! I’m currently in the process of trying to save my beautiful E34 after skidding over a curb a month back.
Love that color too, my best friend has a 330Ci just like it with different wheels

Melbourne is a gorgeous city. I’m in Queensland and it’s entirely too tropical for my liking :S
I assume the power drop was from a few extra emissions related parts you had to get to satisfy California. But t hey really are great cars, it took a LOT of patience to find this one. Late model 330 coupes with a stick are just about non- existent here.

I remember your crash, how is it coming along? :(

After the last update I was a bit concerned the shop was going to shaft you. I’m glad to see my concerns were unfounded and they did an immaculate job. 11/10 work, 5 /10 communication.

L mao their favourite was promising to call me back by a date, not doing it, and then giving me attitude over the phone when I called a day later.
L ike sorry Elaine From Reception but I have insurance wanting their rental back, and work to do. I can’t just materialise at the shop with an hour’s notice. But the quality is what matters at the end and I really can’t fault them for that.

Its coming along. I should have a good answer after the weekend on whether she can be repaired feasibly or not.
Insurance offered 3200 for the car and wanted only 100 for me to keep it so I accepted and now I just had it towed to a colleagues shop earlier this week for him to take a look. I work at a Mercedes dealer, so one of the techs I’m friendly with is going to do the work if possible, and write me up everything it needs this weekend to be roadworthy again.
In the meantime I’ve been driving the clownshoe, but I have some maintenance I need to get done on it. Australia is awesome btw, I went there for two weeks the summer I graduated high school in 2014. I was in Sydney and went up to Cairns for two days also, was awesome. I tried to test drive a Maloo and was rejected lol

Happy for you!

I love Sydney, I bought this car from the north shore and drove it back home through Bathurst and inland NSW. As for Cairns, I’d say two days is more than enough . N othing up there but heat, jellyfish and G erman backpackers lmao
Fingers crossed for the E3 4! Your work connections should be helpful hopefully, e ven if it co mes to selling it off in the worst case scenario. Has it been salvage titled?

it was only 100 bucks to buy back from insurance so if it cant be fixed I can at least sell the engine, trans and a lot of other shit and make that back. It will have a salvage title but Ive never cared about resale value anyway with this car
